Corrina VanderWeide - LMT

About Me

I am Corrina VanderWeide a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) (currently licensed with the Iowa Department of Public Health and member in good standing with the American Massage Therapy Association).

I attended the Wellington College of Remedial Massage located in Winnipeg Manitoba (MB) Canada from 2004-2006.
One of the top benefits of Wellington College’s Massage Therapy Diploma Program and main reasons I chose this college was its depth of knowledge and training.  I received 2 solid years of theoretical study and practical experience which comes to 2550 hours of training.  Most schools in the U.S. and Canada only require a mere average of 560 hours of training.
After graduation in 2006 I became licensed and was in good standing as a Remedial Massage Therapist (RMT) in Manitoba.  I practiced Massage Therapy at a massage therapy clinic with several other RMT's in Winnipeg and then moved my practice to southern Manitoba near where I grew up, working with a local Chiropractor until 2010.

In 2010 I moved to Orange City, IA and took approximately 1 year off as I took the time to transfer my license and get settled in my new home.

From 2011-present I have been practicing Massage Therapy at my home office. Shortly after getting this business started, I began working with Orange City Home Health & Hospice providing Hospice care massage, in addition to my home practice.

As I write this bio it makes me realize it has been nearly 15 years since I started and it feels like that time has flown by. I truly love this career path I've chosen.
